My house is from the 1940s. Does that change anything?
It usually means there is a subfloor under the house, and that is inspected and treated as part of the service. A house on stumps gives rodents a whole level to move around in that a newer apartment on a slab does not have.
Why do I keep getting spiders on the windows?
Being near the bay is most of it. The breeze carries webbing spiders and they build along window frames, around doorways and under the eaves. Treating the outside is what keeps them off, and it is why they come back each season if only the inside gets done.
Do I need to leave the house during the treatment?
For an internal treatment, yes. The house needs to be empty for four hours afterwards, so it is worth planning that before we arrive. If you are having the outside done only, you do not need to go anywhere.
What should I tell you about children and pets?
Tell us who is at home before we arrive, including anything in a tank or an enclosure. Our treatments are safe around your family and your pets and deadly to the pests. Because an internal treatment means four hours out of the house, a lot of families with young children or pets have the outside done instead and stay put.
How often should I arrange pest control?
A lot of our regulars book every six months and then never think about it again. Others do it once a year heading into the warmer months. It depends on the place, the pest and how you live in it.
What if I am still seeing pests after treatment?
For the first week or two that is the treatment working, not failing. What you are seeing is activity being disturbed. If it is still going after that, ring us, because we would rather know.
